Loden Privacy Policy

Loden is a personal styling app. This page explains what data the app collects, how it's used, and the service providers that process it on our behalf.

What we collect

Photos you upload of your outfits and closet items, your Apple ID (for sign-in), and — only when you use weather features — your device location. We also collect basic usage analytics (which screens and features you use, as counts and event names) and error diagnostics. We do not use your data for advertising.

How it's used, and who processes it

Loden relies on a small number of service providers to work. We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for advertising or cross-app tracking. We do rely on the service providers below to process your data on our behalf, only to operate the app:

• Anthropic — your outfit photos and the styling details derived from them are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate critiques and identify garments. This is core to how the app works.
• Neon — our database provider. Your account, outfits, closet, taste profile, and the links to your stored photos are held here. This is where Loden's record of you lives.
• Cloudflare R2 — your photos are stored in private cloud storage, accessible only through short-lived signed links.
• Railway — hosts the app's server (the software that runs Loden). It holds no data of its own; it processes requests and reaches the services above.
• PostHog — aggregated usage analytics (event names, counts, screen paths), tied to your account identifier. No photos, garment text, or personal content is sent.
• Sentry — error diagnostics to help us fix crashes. Photo links and sensitive content are scrubbed before sending.
• Open-Meteo — when you use weather features, your approximate location is sent to fetch local weather. Location is not stored.

Your photos are stored in private storage and used only to critique your outfits and learn your taste — never for advertising.

What we learn

Everything Loden learns about your style stays tied to your account. Removing a piece or an outfit also removes what it taught the system.

Your controls

You can sign out at any time. Deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete account) permanently removes your account and all associated data we hold — outfits, closet, taste profile, and photos — and can't be undone. Usage analytics and error diagnostics held by our processors (PostHog, Sentry) are retained according to their standard retention periods.
